HIRE has officially launched a new Street Children Outreach Initiative in Kakuma Refugee Camp. The program deploys trained community outreach workers to identify, engage, and support street-connected children across multiple zones in the camp.
Once identified, children are linked with HIRE's protection, education, and psychosocial support services. The initiative also involves working with families and communities to address the root causes that lead children to the streets.
"We believe every child deserves to be safe and cared for," said the HIRE Programs Manager. "This initiative is our commitment to reaching the most vulnerable children who may otherwise be invisible to support systems."
